Quality Makes a Significant Difference
“I love watching children and families have breakthroughs…seeing them develop new skills…how applying ABA strategies can make a significant difference in their lives. Though children with autism may share certain symptoms, each child, each family is unique. I enjoy creating individualized programs that both address and celebrate those qualities.”

Meet Tammy
Located in Barrie, Ontario, Tammy is passionate about helping children, parents, and individuals better understand learning and behaviour. She has developed and presented numerous Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) based training and education workshops to families, centres and organizations throughout Ontario. “Children with autism are unique in how they acquire information and develop skills,” says Tammy.
“It takes a structured environment with the right conditions to help them learn. ABA is all about how to set up the right environment and conditions based on your child’s unique needs and abilities. I work with children with autism, their families, support workers, therapists and caregivers to understand their needs and create that optimal learning environment.”
A Board Certified Behavior Analyst
Since 1999, Tammy has worked in the Autism and ABA field with individuals between 2 to 25 years of age. Her experience and expertise is far reaching and includes clinical interventions, teaching, training, coaching and consultation to therapists, colleges, organizations, families and their support networks. Tammy completed a Master of Arts in Psychology with a specialization in Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) from the University of Nevada, Reno in 2005 and has been a Board Certified Behavior Analyst™ since 2007. Areas of expertise and interest include feeding/eating interventions, Acceptance & Commitment Training (ACT) and communication.
An Active Voice in Behaviour Analysis
Tammy has been a member of the Ontario Association of Behaviour Analysis (ONTABA), the Association for Behavior Analysis International (ABAI), the Association for Professional Behaviour Analysis (APBA) and has been an active member with ONTABA’s Professional Regulation Committee toward the regulation of behaviour analysis in Ontario. Tammy lives in Barrie, Ontario, where she works collaboratively to increase awareness and understanding of behaviour and learning needs for individuals with autism. Her goal is to share ABA strategies and evidence-based practices to positively influence the lives of children, families, caregivers and the community at large.
